Watch Rob Gronkowski Tie Patriots Record With 68th Career Touchdown

It’s official: No player in New England Patriots history has scored more touchdowns than Rob Gronkowski has.

The Patriots tight end recorded the 68th touchdown of his career during Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, tying Stanley Morgan’s franchise record and putting New England ahead 20-13 midway through the third quarter.

The 36-yard score was Gronkowski’s second touchdown reception of the season and the 67th of his career. He also rushed for one touchdown back in 2011.

Morgan recorded his 68th touchdown in his 177th game in a Patriots uniform. Gronkowski did so in his 85th.

“Yeah, (the record) should go down Sunday,” Morgan told the Boston Herald earlier this week. “I’m really impressed with him. You know, I played with a tight end who was very similar to him, Russ Francis. I thought Russ was one of the best tight ends to play at that time. Gronk is a step above him. Gronk is unexplainable … the things he can do for a man his size.”
