We’ve reached the point in the NFL season where we have a pretty good idea which teams are for real and which aren’t.
But once the playoffs roll around this winter, regular season records will mean little, and it’ll come down to which squad has the winning pedigree needed to claim the Super Bowl in February.
From an entertainment perspective, the NFL is in a pretty good spot in that there is quite a bit of parity. As such, at this juncture, there are a handful of teams that are plenty capable of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in February.
So through nearly six weeks of action, who, exactly, are those teams? During Monday’s episode of “The Herd” on FOX Sports 1, host Colin Cowherd laid out the nine teams he thinks are legitimate contenders.
Of course, a lot can happen over the next 11 weeks. But regardless of how things shake out, there’s sure to be plenty of intrigue over the coming months.
