The end of the World Series marked a new beginning.
The Major League Baseball offseason officially is upon us. The next few months will be more interesting for some teams than others, but the Boston Red Sox figure to be among the most active organizations.
Free agency is in full swing and the Red Sox wasted no time in re-signing closer Koji Uehara to a two-year contract reportedly worth $18 million. Could Andrew Miller, who was traded to the Baltimore Orioles midseason, join Uehara at the back end of Boston’s bullpen in 2015?
NESN.com Red Sox beat writer Ricky Doyle caught up with MassLive.com Red Sox beat writer Jason Mastrodonato on Wednesday to discuss several topics pertaining to Boston’s offseason, including Miller’s future. The two agree that general manager Ben Cherington has some interesting decisions to make this winter.
Ricky and Jason touched on Jackie Bradley Jr.’s Gold Glove candidacy, Dustin Pedroia’s 2015 outlook and Uehara’s new deal in addition to Miller’s free agency. They also weighed the pros and cons of social media, but that’s neither here nor there.
