Houston Astros prospect Delino DeShields Jr. suffered a serious blow to the face on Friday.
The center fielder for the Double-A Corpus Christi team was hit by a fastball on the right side of his face during an evening game in Frisco, Texas, MLB.com reported. Although DeShields was able to walk off the field on his own, he was still taken to the hospital to be treated.
A friend later tweeted out a picture of the seventh-ranked Astros prospect. [tweet https://twitter.com/ctcase10/status/457384494337904640 align=’center’]
