The soap opera surrounding Brad Childress has taken another turn recently as wide receiver Percy Harvin admitted that he and the head coach did indeed happen last Friday.

Late last week, it was reported that Childress and Harvin got into a heated argument regarding the wideout’s willingness to play through injuries. Harvin told SI.com that the disagreement Friday was about Childress’ insistence that he get an MRI on his injured ankle. Harvin played through the pain and caught nine balls for 126 yards — both career-highs.

“The argument was, I didn’t want to get an MRI; I just wanted to get out and practice and play,” Harvin told SI’s Peter King. “It never was a confrontation with the coach. I don’t know how that started.”

An SI.com source said Harvin and his family were furious Friday and when asked if he felt Childress should continue as coach of the Vikes, Harvin responded, “That’s not my call.”
