In the day of smart phones and with Internet service available almost everywhere, an incident like the one surrounding Deion Sanders Jr. should probably never happen.

Sanders Jr. was at the North Park Center shopping mall Friday when he was accused of card theft when purchasing food at Chik-fil-A, according to Yahoo Sports. The son of ex-NFL superstar Deion Sanders forgot his ID at home. With the name Deion Sanders on the card, Jr. was questioned.

"They thought I stole the card or somethin cuz it said Deion Sanders. I'm like sir I'm not tryna be cocky but you can google me and see," Sanders Jr. said on Twitter following the ordeal.

The incident occurred at the same mall where Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant was hassled by security guards for wearing his pants too low.

"Now I know how Dez Bryant felt," Sanders Jr. tweeted at the conclusion of the episode.
