Matt Kemp Predicts He Will Have First-Ever 50/50 Season in 2012After a sensational 2011 season in which he finished second in MVP voting, how could Matt Kemp follow that up with an even better year?

How about becoming the first player to ever hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in the same season. That's what Kemp is predicting for himself, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Only four players — Barry Bonds, Jose Canseco, Alfonso Soriano and Alex Rodriguez — have ever had a 40/40 season, so Kemp first has that milestone to aim for. However, he's not backing down from the challenge.

"I know what I'm capable of doing," he said. "I have confidence I can achieve it. I try to set my expectations as high as I can. I think I'm capable of doing it."

He certainly has his work cut out for him. Only two players have ever had separate seasons in which they hit 50 home runs and also stole 50 bases. Doing both in the same season? Wow.
