It's one thing when an NBA player drills a half-courter. It's something else when a third grader does it.
Yet that's what young Austin Worthen was able to do during a recent game, throwing up a prayer at the end of third quarter that sailed through the hoop and made him, his teammates and those in attendance go crazy.
Notice the baseball-style heave that Worthen went with to sink the incredible basket. The little guy had to muster up a great deal of strength to chuck the ball that far.
As NBC Sports' Off the Bench blog points out, Austin's team won the game 25-4, so perhaps it's the team's defensive effort that should've made headlines.
