Olympics Schedule for Monday Includes Gymnastics Finals, Team USA in Men’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer

Sunday brought one of the marquee events of the Olympics in the men's 100-meter running final, and it didn't disappoint.

Jamaica's Usain Bolt stormed to victory in 9.63 seconds — the second-fastest 100-meter time ever run. Reigning world champion Yohan Blake extended the Jamaican domination by finishing second in 9.75 seconds, while 2004 Olympic champion Justin Gatlin finished third in 9.79 seconds.

Action also wrapped up at Wimbledon, with Andy Murray avenging his loss to Roger Federer in the Wimbledon final by taking the gold medal in dominating fashion, 6-2, 6-1, 6-4. Venus and Serena Williams also claimed their third doubles gold, and this time the medal ceremony went off without a hitch.

The gymnastics competition also resumed, as vault favorite McKayla Maroney of the U.S. was upset by Romania's Sandra Izbasa. Maroney held the lead after the first round but fell as she tried to land her second vault, knocking her down to silver.

The final week of the Olympics kicks off Monday, and, as always, there will be plenty of events to watch. All times listed are Eastern Standard Time.

9 a.m., NBColympics.com (Live stream — will be shown on NBC in primetime) — Gymastics Finals
The penultimate day of gymnastics competition features finals in the men's vault and rings and women's uneven bars. The uneven bars figures to be the highlight of the day's action, as all three all-around medalists — the U.S.'s Gabby Douglas and Russia's Viktoria Komova and Aliya Mustafina — will be in action. On the men's side, the U.S. will be represented in the vault by Samuel Mikulak.

10:30 a.m., NBC — Men's Water Polo, USA vs. Hungary
The U.S. sits in second place in Group B and has the chance to win the group with a win over fourth-place Hungary and a loss by Serbia to Romania.

1:45 p.m., NBColympics.com (Live stream — will be shown on NBC in primetime) — Track and Field Finals
Finals on Day Four of track and field include the women's pole vault, shot put and 3,000-meter steeplechase, and the men's 400 meters and 400-meter hurdles. In the pole vault, the U.S.'s Jenn Suhr will be looking to upgrade her Beijing silver to gold, while Americans Kerron Clement, Angelo Taylor and Michael Tinsley will take on Great Britain's Dai Greene, the defending world champion, in the 400-meter hurdles. But the best event from a neutral standpoint might be the 400 meters, featuring 19-year-old Kirani James of Grenada, who won the world championship last year. Shockingly, all three Americans failed to make the final, guaranteeing that the U.S. will miss the medal stand for the first time since 1920 (not including the boycotted 1980 Games). The U.S. had taken gold in this event in the last seven Olympics and has some work to do if it is to redeem itself in the 4×400-meter relay.

2:45 p.m., NBC Sports Network — Women's Soccer Semifinals, USA vs. Canada
Team USA continues its quest for a third consecutive gold medal with a match against continental rivals Canada. Abby Wambach has scored in all four games so far for the USA. Japan, which defeated the U.S. in last year's World Cup final, faces France in the other semifinal at 12 p.m.

3 p.m., NBC — Men's Volleyball, USA vs. Tunisia
Defending champion USA has the chance to win Group B with a victory over 0-4 Tunisia, which has won just one set in London. The U.S. has already advanced to the semifinals.

3:30 p.m., MSNBC (Live stream on NBColympics.com begins at 3:00 p.m.) — Men's basketball, Brazil vs. Spain
The second seed is on the line in the final game of Group B. Russia earned the top spot with victories over both teams, but this still figures to be an entertaining match between two of the world's top teams. There is some potential for badminton-like sandbagging, however, as the loser likely wouldn't have to face Team USA until the final, while the winner would likely face the Americans in the semifinal.

5:15 p.m., NBC Sports Network — Men's basketball, USA vs. Argentina
The U.S. faces its toughest competition yet in Argentina, which is 3-1 so far in London. Team USA leads Group A at 4-0 but was tested in its last game against Lithuania, pulling away late to win 99-94 thanks to some clutch play by NBA MVP LeBron James. Both teams are already through to the knockout round, but it's still possible for Argentina to win the group if it wins by more than 17 points or with a win and a France loss.
