There may be no team in football more targeted for its illegal hits on opponents than the Pittsburgh Steelers, so Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell thought it wise to discuss the topic in New York on Friday.
The NFL Network reports that the two met to "discuss recent statements and actions regarding player safety."
Repeat offenders on the Steelers include safety Ryan Clark and linebacker James Harrison, and both players have spoken out about being unfairly fined because of their reputations.
The report notes that such meetings aren't uncommon, as Ndamukong Suh and the Lions made a visit in the past month.
Steelers owner Art Rooney was also at the meeting.
